Let me start off by addressing neurodivergent individuals who see the world differently. People who, from the perspective of 'normies,' struggle with reading social cues, social appropriateness, and emotional relatability. We get it. We want you guys.

It's okay. We got you. We will do our best to learn more about conditions such as autism, alexithymia, etc so Path of Grey will be neurologically inclusive.

Now to address the entire audience. In "Art of Grey Area Thinking," I talk about the importance of social fundamentals. You don't have to be cool or charismatic, but the basics are important. They are:

  1. Be a safe person and make others feel safe.

  2. Be able to form, recognize, and respect boundaries.

  3. Emotional regulation and impulse control.

  4. Appropriately connect with others.

  5. Don't be clingy or needy.

  6. Read social cues and recognize discomfort.

  7. Be able to read the room.

  8. Be self-sufficient and do not overburden others.

No one is perfect. We've all butchered a few of these in our lifetimes. The important thing is to care about other people. To care enough to want to do better.
