By teaching young people how to think flexibly without sacrificing integrity, we can heal the world from the damage done by polarized politics, extreme ideologies, and abusive people.

About Me

Hello, my name is Jimmy Grey. I was a war zone humanitarian in the Ukraine War and before that I documented the Yazidi Genocide in Northern Iraq. My work can be found on my Youtube Channel here.

When I was in college, I survived the Isla Vista mass shooting in 2014. That timeframe coincided with the beginning rise of polarized politics in the United States. And as I trying to make sense of what happened, I watched in horror as the far-right and far-left tore my country apart.

As a former wrestler, I am not someone who backs down and avoid problems. I meet it head on. So I traveled to understand extremism and how to fight it. Upon my return from Ukraine in 2022, I wrote "Art of Grey Area Thinking."

Extremism is a complicated topic with many variables. In my book, I address one of its root causes: rigid black-and-white thinking. I wanted to give young people the antidote: a fun framework on how to recognize and overcome these false patterns.

Today, my humanitarian focus is on the Iranian people –supporting their fight for freedom against religious fascism. Aligned with this purpose, my second book will be a graphic novel about "Surena," a hero military general of Ancient Persia.

With my next book, I hope to uplift the Persian people during their darkest hour while showing the world the glory of Ancient Pre-Islamic Persia.
